| | Standpoint is an ongoing experiment in online communication being conducted by Justin Smith and myself.
Standpoint launched in February 2006 as a site where people can build and manage a list of beliefs. These lists are public, and others can in turn take stands on those beliefs, such that networks of like-minded people are formed. To date some 50,000 statements of belief have been made by our users, which can be navigated both via standard HTML and through a flash-based mapping interface.
Building the site with Justin has been an intense and rewarding experience. We continue to iterate on both the concept and its realization, and Standpoint will no doubt change and change again as time goes forward.
